4″ Roof Vent – Shielded

$115.00

High quality stainless-steel roof vent/chimney cap for our 4″ insulated pipe. This vent keeps rain and weather out of your flue and stove.  Side shielding protects your chimney from sideways rain and improves performance in very windy conditions.  Includes wire spark arrestor.

Don’t forget clamps! Every pipe joint needs to be secured with either a clamp or three stovepipe screws. We recommend ordering a pipe clamp along with each section of flue pipe.

If my Chimney pipe need to be 15 inches taller than the roof (so that it matches the height of the tallest point within 10ft), does this roof vent/chimney cap count toward that height, or does that height need to be reached independently of the chimney cap.

      Rafeal-

According to the 3-2-10 rule, the chimney opening needs to be 3′ above the roof penetration/edge of the roof depending on if its a roof exit or wall exit, or 2′ above any part of the structure within 10′, whichever is higher.

The roof vent is not included in this calculation because the vent itself is open so technically the flue terminates at the base of the vent, not the top.
