Regular chimney sweeping is a critical maintenance task for the safety and efficiency of your wood stove. Small wood stoves can require more frequent maintenance than larger household models, especially if you are using less than ideal fuel, burning at low temperatures, or have an especially short chimney.
The Rotary Chimney Cleaning System attaches to your cordless drill to thoroughly remove soot and creosote buildup better than a manual brush or chemical log. This chimney cleaning system allows you to clean multiple flue sizes and shapes. The brush easily passes through two 45 degree angles in pipes as small as 3″ in diameter. The standard kit reaches up to 78″ and additional extension rods are available.
The poly chimney brush will not harm metal flue pipes. However, if your chimney cap is equipped with a screen, either remove the screen before brushing or avoid using the brush close to the screen.
⚠ Warning
Creosote is a probable human carcinogen, so it should be treated with caution. Avoid breathing creosote dust or regular contact with your skin. Use of gloves and a NIOSH-approved respirator when sweeping your chimney is recommended.
⚠ Warning: California Proposition 65
Use of this product can expose you to chemicals including soot, creosote, wood dust, and wood smoke containing carbon monoxide, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. For more information, visit www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.

Kim, I’m glad to hear the rotary cleaner worked well for you! Being flexible enough to navigate 45-degree elbows yet rigid enough to be easy to use make this tool so valuable.
