4″ Single Wall Tee with Cap

$65.00

The rear exit kit allows you to use the rear exit of your Dwarf 3kW Standard, Dwarf 4kw, Salamander Hobbit, or other 4″ stove with an available rear exit. Using the Dwarf or Hobbit’s rear exit keeps the stove top free for use as a cooking surface. The bottom of the tee also makes an easy clean-out for the flue.

Don’t forget clamps! Each section of pipe needs to be secured with either a Single Wall Pipe Clamp or three self-tapping stovepipe screws. We recommend ordering two clamps with the rear exit kit: one to secure the cap, one to connect the tee to the next section of pipe. Using clamps rather than screws will make removing the cap to clean the pipe easier.

Compatibility

Direct Air Intake: The Direct Air intake has a close fit when used in conjunction with the rear exit tees on some stoves.

  • Dwarf 3kW: Flatten the handle on the rear exit tee cap or cut it off to fit the direct air intake underneath. You’ll need to remove the direct air intake box to be able to remove the tee cap for flue cleaning.
  • Dwarf 4kW: You may need to flatten the handle on the rear exit tee cap to be able to remove the cap for flue cleaning without needing to remove the direct air intake box.
  • Dwarf 5kW: No modification necessary.

Petit Godin stove: If you are using this part to install a Petit Godin stove with a 4″ flue system, you’ll need to cut the male end off the leg of the tee.  The Petit Godin uses a male 4″ flue flange instead of the typical female flue flange.  Use an angle grinder to remove the male crimp up to the shoulder, and install with stove cement on the inside of the pipe and the outside of the flange, instead of vice-versa.
