Hi! We're Jessica & Chad Foster. We are designers, creators, builders, and host the vacation rental space.
Where did you install your stove?
We installed both our tiny wood stoves in our new custom cabins. We dwell in Minnesota, so yes, the climate gets quite cold 🙂
How did your tiny living journey begin and what were your reasons? How long have you been living tiny?
We have been designing and building spaces for guests over the past 5-6 years. On our most recent build(s), we especially wanted to include a tiny wood stove. Space saving is quite important when designing tiny cabins. Every inch matters.
How did you decide on a Dwarf stove?
We researched long and hard. The wood stove had to be durable, ascetically pleasing, easy to use (with renters in mind), and able to heat our cabins in case of a power outage. We love a second heating source for these long MN winters!
How difficult was the installation process? Did you need any assistance of any kind?
Each stove took us about a day. The second one went faster, knowing the process and what we needed to do. We did not need any assistance, but the tips Tiny Wood Stove supplied up came in handy. We were able to get creative with setbacks, heat shields, and other elements based off of the information that was provided to us on your website. Very educational!
How has your experience been using the Dwarf?
Our experience has been great. It heats the space up quickly, is efficient, and we are able to dial in exactly the kind of fire we want. Our guests have minimal questions and we provide a QR code with a quick link on youtube educating the user about the stove and it's controls/variables. We want to add one to our home!
Would you recommend a Tiny Wood Stove to others?
I would for sure recommend to others. Mostly because of the durability and variables you are able to control with this stove. It's effective and looks great at the same time. It's quite the statement piece in the corner of our tiny cabin! We love the accessories available like the wood box below and temp gauge.
