When did you fall in love with tiny spaces and how did you learn about them?
I decided to buy a one way ticket to New Zealand and lived out of a van for 2 years, working as an independent contractor building tiny homes. My lifelong dream has been to buy a sail boat and travel the world. I came back to the states and bought a bus from a remote school district in Texas and renovated it.
How did you decide on a Dwarf stove?
It's the safest heating, most reliable source of heat for a tiny space. Compared to fancy diesel propane heaters. When I made the decision on a stove Tiny Wood Stoves Dwarf was the clear option with all of its features and price point. It's the clear winner of the market over competitors. This will be my go to for all future builds.
How difficult was the installation process? Did you need any assistance of any kind?
Extremely easy, they made installing this product a breeze with an easy to understand manual and high quality flu and mounting bracket products. Everyone that has seen my stove is shocked by its ability and how it can work so well in a 26’ bus. As long as you take safety precautions by mounting it with appropriate clearances and heat shield it allows you to have it in such tight quarters!
How has your experience been using the Dwarf? Have you been enjoying having a tiny wood stove in your space?
A walk in the park, cleaning the flu once every couple of months only takes minutes to do. The maintenance is overall very low compared to other tiny wood stoves that do not have an ash grate making it annoying to remove ash every time you go to make a fire…
Would you recommend a Tiny Wood Stove to others?
Absolutely, they have awesome customer service. I had a lot of concerns at first but once I spoke to the crew they gave me the confidence in my install. (I definitely pushed its limits)
