3″ Roof Vent – Shielded

$110.00

High quality stainless-steel roof vent/chimney cap for our 3″ insulated pipe. This vent keeps rain and weather out of your flue and stove.  Side shielding protects your chimney from sideways rain and improves performance in very windy conditions.  Includes wire spark arrestor.

Don’t forget clamps! Every pipe joint needs to be secured with either a clamp or three stovepipe screws. We recommend ordering a pipe clamp along with each section of flue pipe.

CUBIC MINI CUSTOMERS: This part fits our 3″ insulated pipe, which is 5″ outer diameter, and will not fit directly on Cubic Mini’s 3-1/8″ diameter double-wall pipe.  It can be used with Cubic’s insulated roof exit kit if you add the Cubic Mini Adapter to the inner wall.  Before ordering, please check out our primer on Cubic Mini Flue Systems, and email us at support@tinywoodstove.com if you have any questions.

    I have 2 questions:
    1) Can this be secured to the double wall pipe with small self-tapping screws, or do I NEED to use your clamps?
    2) Can I leave this on while driving at highway speeds assuming it is properly secured?

      Eric-

While it’s possible to attach the roof vent with self-tapping screws, we recommend using our clamps on exterior pipe to avoid any points where moisture can get into the flue system. Using screws on the single-wall pipe inside a structure doesn’t present an issue.

We do not recommend traveling with the roof vent on and instead recommend a driving cap so you can have a detachable chimney
