What an attic insulation shield does
Insulation and debris piled against a chimney can trap heat. The shield surrounds the pipe through the attic floor to keep insulation at a distance. It isn’t needed if the chimney is fully enclosed through the attic.

- Fits: MightyVent 5″ insulated pipe (7.28″ OD)
- Framed opening: 11.5″ × 11.5″ inside dimensions (per the MightyVent instructions, Table 1)
- Base plate: 13.58″ square, polished 304 stainless; 7.44″ pipe opening
- Shield: 11.22″ diameter, galvanized steel
- Installed height: 15″ (per the MightyVent instructions)
- Top collar: wraps around the pipe and tightens with the supplied hardware
- Listing: part of the MightyVent UL 103 Type HT chimney system
