Description
Designed For
- Dwarf 5kW stoves
- Other wood-burning stoves with 5″ inner diameter flue flange
- Compatible with 5″ Tiny Wood Stove brand single-wall pipe and 5″ MightyVent UL listed insulated chimney pipe
- Suitable for wall-exit installations in soft-sided structures like wall tents, yurts, and domes
What’s Included
We’ve put together a complete hardware kit using components rated for the high heat of wood-burning stoves and designed to work specifically with wall exit installs in soft-sided structures. MightyVent insulated chimney pipe is UL 103 Type HT listed and built for small wood stoves: 304 stainless steel on both walls, 1.18″ of ceramic fiber insulation, and twist-lock joints that go together in one turn.
- Stove Gasket Cement
- 5″ Single Wall Telescoping Pipe
- 5″ Single Wall Elbow – 90 Degree
- 5″ Single-Wall Pipe Clamp (Black), qty 2
- MightyVent 5″ UL Single Wall to Insulated Adapter (1 clamp included)
- MightyVent 5″ UL Double Wall Insulated Pipe, 20″ length (1 clamp included)
- 6-11″ High Temp Silicone Tent Stove Jack
- MightyVent 5″ UL Insulated Tee with Clean-Out Cap (2 clamps included)
- MightyVent 5″ UL Insulated Tee Bracket (1 clamp included)
- MightyVent 5″ UL Insulated Pipe Wall Bracket
- MightyVent 5″ UL Chimney Cap – Shielded (1 clamp included)
- Yurt/Tent Wall Kit Diagram Card
This kit includes all components listed above. MightyVent pipe sections and fittings come with their own clamps, so there are no separate clamps to add for the insulated joints. The kit does NOT contain enough stove/chimney pipe for most installations. Use our Kit Builder Tool to calculate and add the correct pipe lengths for your setup.
What Else You’ll Need
- Stove/Chimney pipe: Add 5″ single-wall pipe sections and 5″ MightyVent insulated pipe sections using our Kit Builder Tool.
- Chimney support post: Since tents and yurts are typically not rigid enough to support the vertical chimney, the MightyVent 5″ UL Insulated Tee Bracket and MightyVent 5″ UL Insulated Pipe Wall Bracket included in this kit should face away from the structure, and attach to a post securely sunk into the ground.
- Basic tools: Ladder, level and/or plumb bob, wax pencil or Sharpie, tools to cut a hole in your exterior wall, fasteners to attach your flange to your wall inside and out, and to attach the tee bracket and wall bracket to the exterior of your structure, latex or silicone caulk to seal behind the flange on the exterior of your structure
- You may need: Angle grinder with a metal cutoff blade to cut single-wall pipe, sheet metal crimpers to adjust crimps, drill, stud sensor, heat-safe lubricant like spray graphite to prevent stainless hardware from binding.
- Hearth protection
- Optional: Heat shielding
This kit is DIY-friendly and built for first-timers, but does require some level of comfort using basic tools. That said, always follow local codes and safety best practices. Consult a pro if you’re unsure.
