Cozy tiny trailer in the PNW

" It's so well made, functions great, and absolutely worth the investment."

Callie created a beautiful home out of her tiny camper, which conveniently sits close to a network of her favorite bike trails.

Living in her 23' 1973 Shasta travel trailer in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, Callie decided to make the cozy tiny camper her full-time home. With the damp and chilly weather of the PNW, she needed a solution to keep warm during cold snaps, and the moisture at bay.

The Dwarf 4kw transformed her tiny living experience with comfort, convenience and sustainability.

Where did you install your stove?

I installed the Tiny Stove in my 23' 1973 Shasta travel trailer that I live in full time in the Pacific Northwest. While it's typically just wet and cold here, we did have a cold snap that got down to 9 degrees in December and the stove kept me cozy!

How did your tiny living journey begin and what were your reasons? How long have you been living tiny?

For me, living tiny began in my van which I've lived in on and off for the past 8 years. But after deciding I wanted to stay put in the PNW, I purchased the trailer to act as a home base for all my adventures. I've been in the trailer for 1.5 years now, and I absolutely love having a bit more space to unwind. The biggest reason for living tiny has always been the affordability which allows me to pursue my passions wholeheartedly. I'd rather spend my money on adventures over rent!

How did you decide on a Dwarf stove?

Because my space is so small, I was looking for a stove that would work in tight clearances. Not only does the Dwarf stove fit perfectly in my trailer, but it has the cozy look of a full size wood stove. I love the big glass door where you can watch the fire burning. It takes the coziness to a whole new level with the fire crackling and glowing orange while I'm falling to sleep.

How difficult was the installation process? Did you need any assistance of any kind?

The installation was a breeze once I got my hearth built. I was able to do it entirely alone with exception of setting the stove on the hearth. That required an extra hand because it's so well-built! Also, when I did get stuck, the website has such great support documents it was easy to get the install process done.

How has your experience been using the Dwarf? Have you been enjoying having a tiny wood stove in your space?

It's been amazing. First off, it does a great job of keeping my trailer cozy and warm on the cold days. But there are a few benefits I wasn't even planning on! The dry wood heat helps burn up the moisture so I don't wake up with dewy windows. This keeps any mildew from growing which is super common here since it's so wet all the time. It also acts as a great shoe and jacket dryer when I'm done working or playing in the rain. I LOVE this stove and I am so grateful to have it.

Would you recommend a tiny wood stove to others?

Absolutely! The tiny stove is my favorite addition to the trailer and it makes me feel more like I'm home instead of camping. It's so well made, functions great, and absolutely worth the investment. I've been recommending it to all of my tiny living friends!
