THE COMPANY

Tiny Wood Stove and Throne Composting Toilet is a small business serving the Tiny Living community with wood stoves, chimney parts, composting toilets, accessories, and people to back it up. We’re passionate about simple, intentional living, and we spend our time supporting people who are building tiny, mobile, and unconventional living spaces. Have you seen those Tiny House shows on HGTV, and people building their homes out of old school buses or vans on Instagram? Those are our people!

We are a mixed team of on-site folks in our shop space in Hayden, Idaho for on-site retail, warehousing inventory, order fulfillment, and light fabrication and the rest of our customer support team working remotely throughout the country.

THE JOB

NOW HIRING! Help others live small, gain freedom, and stay cozy! This position is all about project planning with people who are in the middle of exciting DIY projects. You’ll have in-depth conversations with customers about the details of their projects, guiding them to the best options for their situation, and providing expert advice on stove selection, flue design and installation, and composting toilets. Your mode of work will vary from emails to phone calls to in-person support and you’ll always be collaborating with customers and your peers to make tiny living dreams a reality. After the dreaming is done, you’ll get to work with diagrams, order invoices, and follow-ups to make sure everything runs smoothly for our customers.

COMPENSATION

Hourly pay is $16.25-$24.04 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. Your schedule will encompass the open shop hours of Monday through Thursday, 10 am - 4 pm plus some potential additional hours as business needs and your desired dictates.

Available hours tend to increase in the Fall and Winter and decrease in the Summer due to the seasonal nature of wood stove sales.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Age: 18+
  • Able to reliably commute or relocate to North Idaho (Hayden, ID 83835)
  • Part-Time 20-32 hours per week (varies seasonally but with room to grow)
  • Qualities: Service Minded, Humble, Hungry, People-Smart
