Description

What a shielded cap does

Wind blowing across an open chimney can push smoke back down or drive rain in sideways. The shield surrounds the outlet so wind passes around it, keeping sideways rain out of the flue and the draft steady.

What makes MightyVent different

  • Tall wind band. A 10.31″ stainless shield, 7.87″ tall, surrounds the outlet.
  • Stainless screen. 3.15″ tall stainless mesh band with 0.79″ openings.
  • All 304 stainless. Everything from the polished hood and wind shield to the inner liner and hardware is stainless, so the cap holds up to heat and weather.
  • Twist-lock and clamp. Same 6-tooth connection as the pipe, with 1 clamp included.
