What’s Included
We’ve put together a complete hardware kit using components rated for the high heat of wood-burning stoves and designed to work specifically with wall exit installs in framed structures. MightyVent insulated chimney pipe is UL 103 Type HT listed and built for small wood stoves: 304 stainless steel on both walls, 1.18″ of ceramic fiber insulation, and twist-lock joints that go together in one turn.
- Stove Gasket Cement
- 4″ Single Wall Telescoping Pipe
- 4″ Single Wall Elbow – 90 Degree
- 4″ Single-Wall Pipe Clamp (Black), qty 2
- MightyVent 4″ UL Single Wall to Insulated Adapter (1 clamp included)
- MightyVent 4″ UL Double Wall Insulated Pipe, 10″ length (1 clamp included)
- MightyVent 4″ UL Wall Thimble

- Framed Building Wall Kit Diagram Card
This kit includes all components listed above. MightyVent pipe sections and fittings come with their own clamps, so there are no separate clamps to add for the insulated joints. The kit does NOT contain enough stove/chimney pipe for most installations. Use our Kit Builder Tool to calculate and add the correct pipe lengths for your setup.
What Else You’ll Need
- Stove/Chimney pipe: Add 4″ single-wall pipe sections and 4″ MightyVent insulated pipe sections using our Kit Builder Tool.
- Basic tools: Ladder, level and/or plumb bob, wax pencil or Sharpie, tools to cut a hole in your exterior wall, fasteners to attach your flange to your wall inside and out, and to attach the tee bracket and wall bracket to the exterior of your structure, latex or silicone caulk to seal behind the flange on the exterior of your structure
- You may need: Angle grinder with a metal cutoff blade to cut single-wall pipe, sheet metal crimpers to adjust crimps, drill, stud sensor, heat-safe lubricant like spray graphite to prevent stainless hardware from binding.
- Hearth protection
- Optional: Heat shielding
This kit is DIY-friendly and built for first-timers, but does require some level of comfort using basic tools. That said, always follow local codes and safety best practices. Consult a pro if you’re unsure.
