Oli Christophersen has been living in a 16' Pacific Yurt in Puget Sound for the last three years.
Who are you? Tell us something about you!
Oli Christophersen. I own a custom cabinetry business and enjoy the detail & consciousness of living in small spaces. I also prefer to spend most of my free time being active outside.
My tiny stove is installed in a 16' Pacific yurt located in the Puget Sound(WA). I certainly wouldn't say it's that cold here but yes, it is lived in throughout the Winter.
Please tell us a little bit about why you decided to live tiny and/or off grid. What were your reasons? How long have you been living tiny?
I would say living in a small space grew out of necessity and turned into more of a passion with time. For just under 3 years I lived in my 16' yurt while developing and building a more permanent home.
What made you decide to get a tiny wood stove to be your heating source?
The powers of Google and then realizing there wasn't much competition within that tiny stove industry.
How has your experience been installing the Dwarf? Have you been enjoying having a tiny wood stove in your space?
[The install was] Very easy.
All in all the Dwarf stove fits my space perfectly and supplies ample warmth through the coldest of the year here in the PNW.
Would you recommend a tiny wood stove to others?
Yes. The tiny wood stoves are attractive, compact and functional. I also appreciate the glass window into the firebox for ambiance as well as the small amount of supplemental lighting it provides.
Would you like to add anything?
My only critique is that the stock door handle is of poor design and gets very hot to the touch. I will acknowledge that a hot mitt was provided(though it's not very convenient) and I do see that a new spiral handle has since been added to the website.
